Tauvik Muhamad

Hi, I’m Tauvik Muhammad.

I have almost twenty years of working experience with the International Labour Organization (ILO). Currently, I am based in Jakarta. I work for the ILO Country Office for Indonesia and Timor Leste as the Technical Officer/Project Manager for Industry Skills for Inclusive Growth Phase-2 (InSIGHT-2) Project.

My extensive experience within the ILO comes from my involvement in Programme and Development Cooperation Projects. I also have experience developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Development Cooperation projects and programs, including resource mobilization.

In ILO’s Decent Work Agenda, my technical expertise covers Workers’ Rights, Employment and Skills Development, Social Protection, and Social Dialogue. This includes research, training, media strategy, advocacy and outreach to relevant stakeholders and target beneficiaries.

I also have working experience in the private sector for the international banks of HSBC Bank and BNP Paribas Bank as a Financial Analyst and Internal Auditor, respectively.

Under the NUS Graduate Scholarship program, I earned my master’s degree in Public Administration from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. Before that, I graduated from the University of Indonesia with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and received a diploma in Accounting from Padjadjaran University.

Overall, I have solid expertise and hands-on project management experience in issues related to HIV/AIDS, Poverty Reduction Strategy, Youth Employment, Skills Development, Women Entrepreneurship, Post-Crisis and Conflict Response, Indigenous Peoples, Social Protection, Workers’ and Employers’ Activities and Social Dialogue.

I have a passion for writing. I’ve written numerous publications, mostly for national media, such as The Jakarta Post. I also love reading and writing as a hobby, with dreams of writing a novel. In my downtime, I enjoy photography and traveling, too.
